Hi beautiful people out there - oh I have a mask on while I'm typing this. I'm using Freeman peel off mask in grapefruit, I think it's grapefruit, I'm not so sure but its pink and no, it's not one of my HG products, I'm just trying to finish it. I hate wasting products. I hate testing out new products because I fear that I'll end up hating them and not being able to use them. I just hate wasting money for nothing. So whenever I find a product that I love and my skin love, I'll continue buying them forever till they get discontinued or something. Oh and HG means holy grail products, the first time I read this term, I googled it - I'm saving you time. I hope I'll save you money with this post.
The Clarisonic Mia in Pink remains my number one beauty product and I don't think it's going to change ever. Personally, I would not be able to tell you if it has change the texture of my skin, I would rather say that it helps to get rid of acne faster because of the exfoliation and deep cleaning. I still break out mostly because of my horrible fatty diet and hormones of course. My boyfriend said that my skin looks better now, so maybe it's working.
I actually bought Bio-oil because so many people talked about how good it is for stretch marks and pregnant women use them for their belly and stuff. So I went on a whim and bought it, I applied it once *paused a second to think* Yes I applied this once on my thighs and back on my butt. I don't have the motivation to do it on a daily basis because I just wanna sit down you know and that oil transfers to everything. On the bottle, it said it helps for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin. Since the beginning of winter, my skin has been soooo freaking dry all the time even though I use the Clarisonic at night only and I've been looking for a hydrating cream or something to help with it, I got the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse but it was definitely not cutting it and one day, I just use the bio-oil on my face and my skin did not dried on during the day. It is so much more hydrating than the Nuxe one which is so much more expensive. The bio-oil smells hella good, it hydrates my skin, I don't know if it is helping for my scars or uneven skin tone though, maybe it will in the long run. Maybe and it has not broke me out. And it is cheap. Good and cheap, what else can you ask for? This is my hydrating cream. I don't use anything else.
Murad Skin Perfecting primer in Blemish and Shine control. This is a primer. This made me realise the meaning of a primer. I love it so much and it helps my foundation last all day. My foundation last all day and does not become blotchy anymore. Okay this is a primer, not a foundation. This gives zero coverage. It does neutralise a little bit of redness though. It is a tinted light cream but it is translucent once applied. No coverage. When I first read reviews on it, some people were saying that it was their holy grail foundation but then they had perfect skin. If you have perfect skin and no acne, this is for you and if you need coverage, it is not enough. I would say this is close to a tinted moisturiser. Another important point, it has salicylic acid it which I love and my skin love though it does dry out my skin. I have to hydrate my skin before applying the primer since this is not hydrating at all. I normally use the bio-oil first. Blemish control is good I think. Shine control, I don't know, I still blot 1-2 times per day.
I have already reviewed the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream, you can look for it. My skin loves it. It has such a smooth creamy texture. I don't mind the slightly grey color it gives me because it is very subtle and does warm up after some time. And my skin loves it. That is all I have to say.
The Sigma F80 kabuki brush is such a good investment, I have it since last November and it is still in perfect condition and still does the job perfectly. Applying foundation takes me less than one minute. This is the only brush I would definitely repurchase if I ever lose it.
The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I like it though I find myself only using 4-5 colors out of the whole palette. I wished I've gone for the original one because it's warmer colors. My go-to combination is YDK all over the lid and Tease in the crease and outer corner and for fancier day, I'll add Busted in the outer corner.
The Nivea Demaquillant Yeux Double Action. It is a eye-makeup remover. It is the kind that you have to shake before using. This is the only reason why I have started using mascara again. You know I always wondered why people would need different kind of makeup remover for their face and their eyes. Now I understand. Thanks to this, I don't spend minutes scrubbing my eyes with normal makeup remover. It's relatively cheap, paraben free and does the job. And it's cool to look at it.
My favourite cleanser of the moment is the Clearasil Daily Clear Daily Cleanser. It has salicylic acid in it, I love its smell, it's cheap, it does the job, it is a little bit drying but not dramatically drying and it comes with a pump. I love pumps.
Himalaya Herbals Almond and Cucumber Peel off mask is the best peel off mask I have ever used. Let me start by saying that I love peel off mask. I enjoy peeling them off and see how much dirt has come off my face. I think this one is the best I've come across so far and it is light brown color, so you can definitely see the dirt - I totally enjoy that. It takes off hairs too sometimes, I'm just giving you an indication on how good it is. It is cheap too. What sells me is the price and it does not break me out. And it dries up pretty fast too. I wished it sold in bigger tubes because I would get maximum 5 uses out of one tube like this one.
And finally, Caudalie Zeste de Vigne. The perfect citrus perfume ever. I love it so much. It's like a pick me up perfect, it is what I would imagine Clinique Happy to smell like (which does not). This is my favorite perfume ever.
This is pretty much it for now, I trying two other spot treatment product right now but I don't know if it is really effective on me. I'll share them later maybe if they are worth it. They are the Clinique Spot Treatment Gel and the Clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Cream. Both has salicylic acid as their main ingredient, though Clinique has a greater concentration and is more drying. I wanted to share my nail polishes too but I don't think they should be categorised as HG.
Note: Sorry for the pictures not being properly centered and so on, I have not edited either of them as well.
