♡ The Liebster Award

Hi you! How have you been? I'm sorry for being MIA for so long but I've been busy and not in the blogging mood I guess. But I'm back today. Things has been pretty hectic I would say, in the sense that I cannot predict what the future holds for me. Whatever, I'll take what I get and make the best out of it. I've discovered new traits of mine - actually they are not new but now, I can identify them, I am a control freak, I hate change, I am NOT adventurous. But you know what, I'm trying to improve myself this year.

Back to this Liebster Award, I got an email from blogger for MuShii's cozy world's comment and I was curious but I didn't have time to check what that was about. I got to read it today and I have to say that it is an awesome idea to discover new blogs and people. So I'm going to do mine today. Let's see the rules for this specific tag.

♡ Clear skin with Clarisonic?

Hi beautiful people :) I was home today, lounging about researching more information on an acne medication that I will be taking soon maybe. I will tell you which on later when I will be on it, but it's a strong one and I don't know yet if I could still use the Clarisonic while on it.

It's been a little over a month now since I started using the Clarisonic. See my first post on it here. I have use this religiously since I got this, day and night. That could seem extreme and too much to some people but my face could take it, no irritation or whatsoever. It's time for an update now, I've using this for more than six weeks and I can't imagine washing my face without this little pink baby. Is it cute?

My opinion on this has not changed since my first post. I have not experienced more breakouts than usual. My face feels cleaner and smooth even if I have pimples. It exfoliates the skin pretty good, so I guess that it does help with my blemishes, they fade faster. My skin feels a little less oily. It does help heal my acne a little. But my blackheads are still present, my pores still look ginormous, I still break out. Honestly, I don't know think that the Clarisonic is enough to achieve a clear skin and it is not enough to prevent acne at least for me. It does help, it is just not enough for my skin. It does help to keep the face clean, but it is not enough to prevent acne. Do I still think it is worth the money? YES. I can't stress on this enough (damn I said that word thrice already), I cannot live without the Clarisonic. I love it, love it, love it, LOVE it.

I don't regret buying, I will use forever. I just regret my stupid skin. Can I buy another one? Have you seen that episode of "Sabrina" when Hilda and Zelda went to a spa, and Zelda had her face cleaned, they removed her face skin entirely like "Face Off" and cleaned it with a brush as if you're cleaning a clothing in an old school way. I want that. Haha.

♡ I wished I was a boy

I'm drinking my favorite tea: La Chartreuse Green tea Classic

Don't you wish the same? I'm tired. I'm bloated. My face is breaking out. I'm having horrible abdominal pains. My head is throbbing right now. I'm having food cravings. I want to eat everything. I'm moody too. Yeah, it's my time of the month. I'm exhausted, the worst part are definitely the throbbing headaches. But it is okay, I'm cozy in my chair, in front of my laptop with a hot cup of my lovely tea (with air conditioner on!).

You know why I wished I was a boy? Because won't need to go through pregnancy! I'm so apprehensive of that stage of life. I love babies but I'm not okay with the delivery section. And we won't need to menstruate and suffer the pains that goes with it. We could gain weight and say that we want to be a sumo if somebody mentioned our large body - I don't think a guy would really say that but that would be fun! Plus, we won't need to worry much about clothes as our sole worry would just be color coordination. That's all! oh yeah, we won't need to worry about our hairs. Emphasis on the hairs!!! because it is time consuming, don't you agree with me?  Lastly, we won't need to wear makeup, we could just wash our face in the morning  and maybe put a little cream, then we would be done.

But I'm a girl. And I like makeup because it can hides my flaws. My damn physical flaws. I like beauty stuff too because they help fight my flaws. I hate being a girl because a girl is so self-conscious. I am self-conscious. This time of the month makes me more self-conscious than normal.

Okay, my headache is gone :) Ranting is good for health. Haha

Have a good night everybody.

♡ 2013 Beauty Resolutions

BeautyResolution2013

I have come across some posts on this year's beauty resolutions and I thought: "Why not write mine?" for the sake of my skin. Today I'm going to write mine :)
  1. Clean makeup brushes at least once a week.
  2. Have a strict morning and night skincare routine.
  3. Stop touching my face except for lipstick touches, if else, no touching the face and even neck.
  4. Always make thorough research on beauty products before buying them.
  5. Always look at ingredients, watch out for the bad stuff and for active ingredients.
  6. To not give in to 'hyped' beauty miracle products.
  7. Stick to the minimum makeup for work days: foundation, eyebrows, eye shadow and tinted lip balm are acceptable.
  8. Avoid sticking my phone against my skin whenever I get phone calls.
  9. Not to pick on pimples.
  10. To drink tea every single day.
  11. Clean up my makeup collection every month.
  12. Stop eating sugary food like sweets, sodas, and any sugar other stuff that the body does not need.
  13. Avoid dairy products because of hormones. Milk in the morning is acceptable.
  14. Stop with fast foods and anything fried.
  15. Drink one glass of warm water with 1 tablespoon of honey every morning on an empty stomach.
  16. Drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
  17. Stop eating more than necessary.
  18. Take vitamin supplements. (I need to research on that)
  19. Keep a food diary.
  20. Find an exercise routine that I could do everyday for about 30 minutes. I have to Youtube that.

I have included food-related resolutions here because what I eat shows up on my skin. Sadly, this is a fact for me. If I keep up with my beauty resolutions this year, my face could clear up. Hopefully!!

What are your beauty resolutions for this year?

♡ First post for 2013

Hello :)

My name is Meeline/Joanna. I am a blogger and a skincare and makeup enthusiast.

I just thought of that description of 'me' for blogger. It's ok right? I love it actually. It will definitely gives my blog a direction. Anyways, how did your New Year Eve go? I watched the fireworks and I ate tons of food. Today 1.1.13 I ate tons of leftovers - I had rather long and big brunch. And no, I have not officially written my resolutions for this year, so I can eat junk right? It's not junk, it is homemade and homemade sometimes means generous cooking! :p My belly is bulging with barbecue chicken, sausages, tiramisu cake (plus one other cake) and tea. The only healthy thing in my stomach is tea, yeah that does not compensate for the others. I knowwwwww. Okay,  I wish you all a very happy new year and lots and lots of good things! I wish you health, wealth and HAPPINESS.
