I already had the idea to splurge on something before getting into Mado and so I did. I swatched a lot of lipsticks and lipgloss mainly YSL and Dior ...because of their packaging. I ended up with this really sparkly one of a kind(according to me) lipgloss because I don't own any lipgloss, I never really liked lipgloss because most I've tried were sticky but I thought that this one looks soooooo pretty that I could overlook the sticky-ness if it was. Anyways, I got a Dior Addict Gloss in Minauderie.

♡ New in from Sigma
One thing I hate about Sigma is that shipping takes so long (it took more than a month!!) and you PAY for shipping whereas Asos/Feelunique/Echemist comes in about 2 weeks and they have free shipping policy. And I was disappointed with my purchase because of the quality of the packing of the brow powder I guess, I expected better from Sigma and yeah, there's no mirror inside, that really sucks..on a good note, it's a real brown instead of a brown with an red-ish tint.

♡ Haul
Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning
Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Wash and Mask 150ml
Stila All Over Shimmer Powder - Kitten
Maybelline Fit Me Face Powder 220 Natural Beige
La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Creme SPF 30 50ml
Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation - 35 Sand
Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Gel Wash 150ml
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm - Give me a cuddle
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm - Drive me nude
I love receiving these little packages. It just feels like opening presents and discovering what I've actually bought. This picture is yellow-ish because it was a tad dark in the room and I used flash; I just wanted to get done with this picture so I can try them out :) I've already tried some of them. The Clarins primer/self tanner smells weird to me, people said that it smells like regular cream and no self tanner odor but nooooo. The Rimmel chubby balms smells like candy; I don't like my beauty products to smell like food, anyways I got over it because these balms are super smooth, pigmented, and they do stained my lips. I had high expectations of the Stila highlighter duo but the packaging feels flimsy to me (maybe that's just me). The Rosalic CC cream smells like sunscreen...did not like that. At this point, I think you guys got my thinking, scents really do matter to me. If I had tried these products before making my purchase, I would not have ended up with these. Hopefully, I will get over their scent and enjoy them.

♡ Out of primer + a splurge
Okay being out of primer is a huge problem for me because it means that my makeup won't last even till noon and I wear foundation every single day I go out. I totally freaked out this morning. Maybe you don't understand this, but ever since I started to wear primer, I never stopped. How the hell did I run out of primer so fast? I don't get it, I was expecting it to last longer, but then we have been two using it. I should have thought about that and ordered a backup online earlier. By the way, the one I've been using is the Murad Blemish Primer, I've gone through two bottles and I definitely recommend it. My makeup last all day with this and maybe helps with acne - not so sure about this claim and in my opinion, its mattify-ing and neutralising power does not last long. Anyway, I'm out of it, I will be ordering one today from FeelUnique.
Ordering online means I've to two or three weeks, and I can't do that long without primer, so I got into Mado and asked for a primer. She showed me three: starting with the Guerlain L'OR Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold which I've been eyeing on the internet, Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base and Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I asked the price for each before swatching any of them. Yes, because I'm weird like that. Secretly, my heart was set on the Chanel one because I've always been wanting something from Chanel, I just needed to know the price. So, the Guerlain one was pricier of the three. The Chanel was at Rs 1,335, surprisingly it is about the same price as the Murad, both are 30ml too. I swatched all three on the back on my hand, the Chanel smells amazing and seemed matifying. The Guerlain felt like so liquidy like water, super easy to blend, that felt sooo hydrating - I want to get that Guerlain. The Clarins one, I was not crazy about it because it came in a small jar and you have to put your finger inside, not hygienic.
![]() |
| Tada!! |
I ended getting the Chanel one. Maybe I should not call that a splurge because it is basically the same price as my usual primer. I should add that in Mado, the sample came in a pump, so as dumb as I am, I thought that it was its normal packaging. I just opened my little black box, and sadly, no pump, NO PUMP. WHY WHY?? This could have been a staple in my makeup collection. But no, it does not come with a pump. It's like a bottle of nail varnish and you get a spatula. I don't this, I just don't think it's hygienic..I can get over that though maybe because it smells amazing. As for how well it works, I've no idea, I'll do a review after a few weeks. Ohh and she gave me a sample of Lancome Tresor with my purchase!

♡ Collective online haul
I've done quite a bit of online shopping during Nov-Dec period with all the sales going on, so I just indulged and got myself some backup products, new things I want to try + more. I got some of my orders from the post office today, I was a little shocked by the number of packages there were actually.
But now that I've listed everything, it doesn't seem that much. I'm most excited about the makeup items.

♡ It's official, I bought a fake OPI
Yes I did because it was first time in my entire life that I've seen an OPI nail polish, so I bought just because it looked pretty and I really wanted to think of it as being real. I got for Rs 200 which made me doubt its authenticity but I did not care, I just went ahead and got it. I'm so stupid I know. I got it in one of the shops in Bagatelle mall, I don't know if it appropriate to say which shop, so I'm not going to mention the name but they normally sells jersey/cotton clothes with no branded name or logo on their clothes. I was looking for crop tops there and when I got to the counter, I saw these pretty little bottles, I had to get at least one. I even asked the salesgirl if they were real OPI. Gosh I knew they were fake but yeah, I got one. Let me show you some pictures. I have not swatched it already since I already have a nail polish on but at least this fake does not smell over-chemically.
![]() |
| It looks legit, right? To me it did look legit just because I never owned or seen in real except online an OPI. |
![]() |
| Yes the name of it is Blushingham Palace. The first thing I did when I got home, I google "OPI Blushingham Palace" and then I knew. |
![]() |
| This is what google gave me. It showed me pictures of the real Blushingham Palace and it's pinkish. For heaven's sake, mine is nowhere close to this in terms of color. |
While I was typing it on Google, I was already thinking that if it was a real one, I was definitely going back to get all the colors. Can you imagine how disappointed and foolish I felt? Maybe not everybody would understand how I feel about fakes, it's okay. I'm just sharing. I thought I would make a post out of this, not super informative - there is enough info on the internet to help you differentiate real from fakes. So just google if you need more info. I thought of making a little video just because I could, and I wanted to. Sorry, I don't know how to cut and edit, I only used Youtube editor tools.
Update 01.12.13
I hate the nail polish, I just tried it tonight, it is horrible in color, it looks like poo and the brush is too thick - not in a good way. I hate it. This is definitely going to the bin. It was such a waste of money.

♡ Sheinside Review
Last month or so, I don't remember when exactly (time flies so fast and it's October already), I bought three piece of clothing from sheinside.com, I was watching so many hauls from that website on YouTube from the beauty/fashion gurus, so I wanted to give it a try. Yeah I know that many of these gurus do these hauls videos because they are sponsored free clothes from them but whatever I found the clothes really cute. So I took the plunge and browse the bestsellers category and gone through with the payment. Two or three weeks later I got my order, I was sort of impressed with the packaging each garment came in because it's like a plastic bag that you can zip which I find super practical to store clothes. I don't have any personal pictures of the clothes just because I didn't take any of them but I want to share my thoughts on them. (Maybe I'll update this post during this week with pictures of them or not - most probably not) Anyways, let's get down to it.

| Brown Weave Piercing Wraps Bat-wing Sleeve Sweater |
I was really excited about this one because I've been looking for a brown cardigan for so long and this one is a wrap/shrug which is what I like to wear. I was a little disappointed about the fit just because it was shorter than I imagined it would be and the construction of it is very poor. As for the material, it's not soft or whatever, it's probably polyester or a plastic like fabric. It's pretty on though. The brown color did wore off a little after the first wash, now it's like a dull brown, it's still okay to wear it now but I'm not crazy about it anymore. I don't find it comfortable too because it's keep sliding off my shoulders, I feel like I have to pin this cardigan to my vest or whatever I'm wearing because I hate re-adjustment my cardigan every second.
![]() |
| Beige Geometric Eyelet Embellished Knit Jumper Sweater |
This one is the most popular sweater ever, I keep seeing this one everywhere. I felt like everyone has that already except me, so I got it because it was so pretty. It's a pretty beige color. I hate the material, probably same kind as the brown shrug and I really thought it would be a thin material but it's thick and too warm for the weather here. But it look really good on though I wish the sleeves were past my wrists, they stop awkwardly before my wrists - hate that.
![]() |
| Apricot Sleeveless Peplum Hem Jumpsuit |
This was the only reason I went on there. It is so pretty. It does not fit me as I would have wished but it looks really good on. I wore on a date with the boyfriend yesterday with some nude heels - looked pretty fancy in my opinion. The fit is off around the top, probably because I'm flat (know what I mean?), so if I have to lift my arms, you could see that it's large on me. The color is a pretty beige, similar to the eyelet sweater. The material is pretty thin, quality is so-so. There were bits of threads sticking out but nothing major that a pair of scissors can't fix. Another thing is the material does crease easily, so beware.
If you're looking for quality clothing, sheinside is not the right choice. I will not be buying from there again just because I like quality over fashion and I think that the clothes I got are not worth the price I paid for them. Sheinside does have some amazing beautiful fashion pieces which I would love to own, you can see pictures of the clothes all over the internet. The decision belongs to you now.
A little side note, the reviews on the website for some of the clothes on there seems a little fishy to me - don't trust them, just read blogs or YouTube reviews instead.

♡ Finally
I feel like my collection is complete now even though technically it's not but I'm never buying eye shadows again - most probably. The packaging is amazingly beautiful. The Naked 2 looks so cheap looking next to the original one. I did regret at one point buying the Naked 2 palette because I felt that I was using only 1/4 of it mainly because the colors were not working on my complexion. But..you know but I would not give it away because I still love it - YDK has been my favorite. I love my makeup collection. End of story.

♡ Just a teeny bit disappointing Asos haul
Hello people, I hope you're having a great weekend :) I decided to make a haul post today, I thought I was going to have more stuff to share with you but nuh-huh. What happened is that when I went to get my package today to the post office, I actually had two packages but the other one I have to fetch to ANOTHER post office. So I decided to get next weekend because I wanted to get home and I did not want to go out, I just wanted to be home safe and sleep. haha Let me share with you what I got.

| 1. ASOS Leopard Print Skinny Waist Belt - Tan / XS |
![]() |
| It fits me! Oh I love you so much. |
![]() |
| 2. ASOS PETITE Exclusive Long Sleeve Maxi Dress With Belt - Black / UK 4 (out of stock) |
I was pretty disappointed when I saw the dress because it looked way more beautiful on the website and the thing is the belt that came with it is definitely not a waist belt, I can't use it as a normal belt because it's too large. I know yeah, I can make more holes but for the price I paid for this, I thought I would get the perfect combo. Here, I'm wearing the dress with the leopard waist belt :) The dress is of a jersey material, it fits nicely. Excuse my dirty mirror - that's why I put a filter on it.
![]() |
| 3. Tangle Teezer Compact Styler Professional Detangling Brush - Leopard |
Oh gosh, that leopard print is so ugly in real life. It looked so much better on the website, even here it looks good but it only looks good in pictures. In real life, it looks so damn cheap. I tested it out already, I've nothing special to say about it. I will do a first impression on it maybe soon if I like it or not.
That's is all for today. I'm going to do household chores now and workout a lot because we're going out dinner tonight to Ocean basket which equals to soooo much fat but yummy food. I wish you all a great and relaxing weekend! BTW, PEOPLE DO SQUATS!!!! THEY WORK!!!

♡ Recent beauty haul
![]() |
| Veet depillatory cream, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, and a random sanitabant. |
![]() |
| Bio Oil, Maybelling Eyestudio Eyeliner 24hr, Maybelline Instant Anti Age Foundation |
A little peek of my beauty haul over the weekend. I have been loving the Nuxe huile prodigieuse, it smells amazing, I love it so much, I'm gonna use it all my life till I die. I wanna get the Or version of it, the one with gold shimmers but I don't know if I should, is it good? does it look weird on the skin? I can't even test this out at the pharmacy, no tester. Shucks. The Maybelline Instant Age rewind foundation is not mine, it's for my mom, I don't know if it's any good except it does enhance your dry spots.
Veet depilatory cream. Works. Just works. I maybe could do a post on shaving, electric epilators, creams, etc. Because one day, I just got it, the perfect combination of stuff to get rid of hairs.
A long week ahead, it's Tuesday. Three more days to go. I'm going shopping to Fashion House tomorrow night and dinner at Ocean basket with the lovely bf. So I've got something to look for tomorrow. I feel like I should say sorry to my blog for not being present at all but I'm so lazy, I would get ideas of posts and already write these post in my head but then when it comes to actually sitting down and typing everything down, I just get distracted with youtube, shopping, youtube, tumblr, internet as a whole.
For mauritian readers, do go to Fashion House, they are having 50% sale on everything, it is definitely worth it, I got already a lot of short shorts, long sleeved leotards that are so comfortable, and what else tracksuit, sort of sports bra. And that is it, tomorrow I'm getting more leotards because they are so comfortable and they are 3/4 length sleeves. I adore them so much. I'm thinking of getting in all colors, I just hope that they will have my size. Oh and yeah, these leotard have opening down there so there is no fuss for going to, you know where. I love them.

♡ Small Lookfantastic Haul + Review
I discovered this amazing website last December and I was sooo freaking excited because they sell the Naked 2 palette plus they offer free shipping worldwide. So, I seized this opportunity to get the holy grail of all palettes and a primer as well because I've never used one, so I thought I would give this one a try. I will reviewing these soon. I don't know if I should review the Naked 2 palette because there are so much online but whatever, we'll see right?:)

| Murad Skin Perfecting Primer Acne And Shine Control (30ml) £19.99 |
Oh yeah, the website is lookfantastic.com. They sell a lot of brands that I'm longing to try like Nars, Benefit, etc but there are still country restrictions on these.
I do recommend this website. Free worldwide shipping. Ships to Mauritius.
Good shopping!

♡ Early Bird Pixi Make Up Kit
I wanted to try this for a while before making a review on this one. I saw this Asos a while back and it was on sale for £11.25 (originally £16.00). So I thought why not, the price is fairly good for a palette that size and the photos are gorgeous of the website. I tried to google reviews on it, there wasn't much about it:/ But I did go and buy it because it was on freaking sale and the fact that there were eye bases and blushes and highlighter, I just couldn't not buy it. Okay look at these pictures from Asos, it looked so pretty!!! The palette is called the Pixi Early Bird Make Up Kit.

♡ Unboxing the Clarisonic Mia
I've been eyeing the Clarisonic for a while, looking at reviews on Youtube and loads and loads of pictures. For what I've read online, the negative arguments were that you could break out the first few weeks of using it, the price of course, its lifetime and its questionable efficiency on cleaning the skin and there is a lot of negative reviews on the deep pore cleansing and acne brushes, so I'm glad that it comes with the sensitive brush when you buy it.

♡ Newbie to fake eyelashes
The first time I tried to put a fake eyelash on, I took over thirty minutes just for one eye and it was a total disaster. Ruined makeup and blotches of glue, can you imagine that? But now I found the trick, get "natural" eyelashes and a good glue. These supposedly natural eyelashes are much more flexible than the plastic ones, I got 10 pairs for $3.51 with free shipping on Ebay, they are called the Thick Natural Soft Long False Eyelashes Lashes in 009.
| The picture of the eyelashes from Ebay. |
![]() |
| It's a plain carton box with TEN false eyelashes :) This style specifically is not very noticeable actually, they do not look super fake on me. Maybe next time I'll try another style. |
The next most important thing is good eyelash glue, this is the best one I've used so far, it does not get tacky super fast, you get a lot of product for your money. I have bought the Eylure Lashfix Adhesive For False Lashes on ASOS for £2.00 and it is awesome. How can I explain this? It does not get super sticky when you apply the glue and the glue set really fast when you apply the eyelashes on your eyes. Did you get it? No? It's okay:p
![]() |
| Get it here. It does dry clear. It does not hurt like hell when you take the eyelashes off. It is cheap. Go buy it. |
![]() |
| It's a little 6ml bottle and I love the applicator, it's easier to apply a thin layer of glue with it. |
This is it for tonight, it's 7 pm here, I just wanted to share what I've been loving lately, I have added this to my makeup routine everyday. Sorry for not replying to your comments, I've been busy but I am reading your comments by emails :)
Share your newest finds, I would love to know! xx

♡ Which one to buy?
I'm browsing on Sigmabeauty.com and I'm hesitating on which brush to buy. I already have the F80 in my cart right now which is $16. The thing is that if your total order prior to shipping is $30 or more, you get a complimentary gift and right now for October, the gift is a sample from the Brow Design Kit. So I need another brush for around $14 to get the subtotal of $30. So which one should I get among these? Please help :) :) :)
While writing this post, I was searching the blog at the same time and I thought that the gift was the Brow Design Kit but it was just a sample. Now I'm hesitating whether I should really buy now or wait for next month to see which gift you can get because I don't need another eyebrow shade or eyeshadow color. Yeah the eyebrow color can be used as eye shadow as well. So maybe I'll just wait for next month which is not so far away. Here is the one I am definitely going to take next month.

Which sigma brush is your must-have brush? I want to know because I do not know which one to buy apart from the F80, and there are so many different, I can't choose.
P.S: I think I'm mistaken, the sample is not the complimentary gift anymore, I don't know what's the gift right now. Do you know, please please please tell me :)

♡ Elite Model Eye Shadow Brush
I was thinking of getting all the makeup brushes from Elite Model then I told myself to just get one by one because they are expensive--actually they are cheap but I need to know if they are good. So far, I've just two, the other one is the foundation brush which I like though I feel that I use more foundation when I use this brush but maybe it was just because I put too much makeup on my hand and the brush just pick all of it. I tested the eye shadow brush and it's good, I like it better than the basic brush that you get in palettes. And it's SOFT. Soft like the foundation brush, probably the same material. Next on my list to get is the powder brush or maybe the blush brush first because I need one since I'm using an unbranded powder brush to put on blush brush.
I got this at Intermart Bagatelle at Rs100 which is approximately $3. Cheap right? (yeah, what the hell is she saying expensive lol) Anyway, I was with the bf today :) Love you, he does not read my blog though. It's okay else he'll criticise my bad English. We watched "Lady Vegas", the original title is "Lay the favorite". Pretty good movie.
If you have ever used Elite Model brushes, can you tell me how you like them please? I would love to know if they are any good compared to other brands like elf, real techniques, and others nice makeup brands that are NOT sold here and are so difficult to find online and if you, they don't ship to Mauritius or they could be fake. Why is it so hard to find great genuine makeup stuff at cheap prices. I want Sigma brushes, the Mrs Bunny collection, they look so cute haha, no okay I just want to sigma F80. I'm just rambling on. Have a nice night or day to whoever is reading this post.
Edit 1: I have 3 followers omg~~~Thanks for following me!
Edit 2: I forgot to include something. I cooked chicken masala curry with potatoes today and it was good. I cooked that several times but today it was perfect, I actually like what I cooked, that's why I thought that I should include this in my today's post :) The trick for this is not to overcooked the potatoes, to season well with salt and not too much masala spice powder. Damn I don't remember the brand, I should because I think it's the best tasting masala. I just know that it's written "masala moins piment" and the brand starts with "a" and ends with "gar".

♡ Asos Mini Haul
There was a sale on Rimmel products on Asos last week, so I got myself the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky beige for £2.50 and Rimmel London Mono Blush in Pink rose for £2.50. I have to say that I'm slightly disappointed about the color of the blush, it seemed more vibrant on the website but whatever, it's fine. I'll review these soon. I purchased these two because there were so many raving reviews about these and they were cheap. I just need new brushes now. I think I'm going to buy all the Elite Models brushes. WHY is there absolutely NO review on Elite Models brushes by the way? Are they bad? I've no point of comparison actually except my brushes with no name, that I don't like using anyway because they are coarse and no skin-friendly.

♡ Mini Haul
Actually I didn't plan to go shopping today, we were supposed to go see Maison Eureka with the bf and then to the movies but we had a change of plans. So we went grocery shopping at Bagatelle and I spent some time in the beauty alley checking what's new and what's cheap and what's intriging, you know right? Anyways, I allowed myself two stuff: the Elite Model Foundation Brush and Gill Invisible Problem Skin Gel. I've been eyeing the Sigma F80 brush online but the shipping fee makes it so expensive and I've been waiting for Sigma to have some kind of sale like free shipping. Till then, an Elite Model brush could do, I hope so. At least the bristles are really soft. For this Gill skin gel, I've never heard of it before, so I thought that I might as well give it a try and there is apparently sulfur in it.

I will review these too later after a couple of uses, stay posted! What else can I say? I've cooked "Poule Rouge et teo-kwon" and a lemon cake tonight. The cake is a really greasy and the lemon taste is pretty light, it's good-ish - it taste industrial! I'll think I use more lemon next time and less butter, I could maybe with milk, I wonder how's that going to taste like. I'll post the recipe tomorrow.
